Privacy Policy

ASTAR is a collaborative learning platform. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have when you use astar.inc, becomeastar.lovable.app, and the ASTAR app.

Information We Collect

We collect information you provide when you create an account, including email, username, display name, avatar, and optional profile details.

We also collect content you create in the app, such as planets, missions, agents, chat messages, submissions, and related collaboration activity. We collect limited technical data such as device, browser, IP address, and usage events needed to operate and secure the service.

How We Use Information

We use your information to:

  • Provide, operate, and improve ASTAR.
  • Authenticate accounts and keep sessions secure.
  • Match learners into collaborative sessions.
  • Power AI learning features and agent experiences.
  • Prevent abuse, fraud, and unsafe behavior.
  • Process payments and deliver account or service updates.

AI Features

Prompts and content you submit to AI features may be processed by trusted model providers, such as Google and OpenAI via the Lovable AI Gateway, solely to generate the requested response.

We do not sell your content and do not use it to train third-party foundation models.

Voice and Real-Time Sessions

Live voice in match sessions is delivered via Agora. Audio is transmitted in real time and is not recorded by ASTAR unless explicitly stated in-product.

Payments

Payments for Rocket Fuel, Starbux, and hiring plans are processed by Stripe. We do not receive or store full card numbers.

Refunds for Bonus Fuel are governed by our Refund and Return Policy.

Sharing

We share information only with service providers that help us run ASTAR, including hosting, database, auth, AI inference, voice, payments, analytics, and email providers.

We may also share information when required by law or to protect the rights and safety of users and ASTAR. We do not sell personal information.

Cookies and Local Storage

We use cookies and browser storage to keep you signed in, remember preferences, and measure product usage. You can clear them in your browser at any time.

Data Retention

We retain account data while your account is active. You may delete your account at any time from Settings; we will delete or anonymize personal data within a reasonable period afterward, except where retention is required by law or for fraud prevention.

Your Rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, export, or delete your personal data, and to object to or restrict certain processing.

Children

ASTAR is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.

Changes

We may update this policy as ASTAR evolves. Material changes will be announced in the product or by email. The effective date above always reflects the current version.
